SIG Introduces Quick-Drying Concrete to Repair Transjakarta Routes
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has introduced an innovative quick-drying concrete used in several infrastructure projects, including the repair of Transjakarta routes, to address the challenges of road infrastructure maintenance that often causes traffic jams due to prolonged construction times.
Corporate Secretary of SIG, Vita Mahreyni, stated that this innovation is a strategic step by the company to strengthen its role as a provider of integrated construction solutions relevant to modern market needs.
“This product not only offers speed in execution but also provides added value in terms of cost efficiency and environmental sustainability. This aligns with our commitment to continuously deliver products and services that can enhance the competitiveness of the national construction sector,” Vita said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
The quick-drying concrete, SpeedCrete, she added, has been applied to various strategic projects in Indonesia, including the repair of Transjakarta bus routes, the Patung Pemuda roundabout area, and the Koja Container Terminal.
Furthermore, it has been used on several toll road sections, such as the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar-Permata Panggang-Kayu Agung Toll Road, Jakarta-Merak Toll Road, Jabodetabek Toll Road, Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road, Surabaya-Mojokerto Toll Road, and Surabaya-Gempol Toll Road.
The flexibility of setting times available, ranging from three to 12 hours, allows this solution to be adapted to project needs and traffic density levels in various regions.
With these advantages, the product is claimed to provide significant time efficiency while minimising potential economic losses due to congestion.
In addition to the product, SIG also offers integrated services in the implementation of SpeedCrete, covering traffic management, dismantling of old pavements, pouring, and reopening roads in a short time.
The construction process, which is generally carried out at night, now allows roads to be reopened in the morning, thereby minimising the impact on road users.
This approach is expected to strengthen SIG’s position as a strategic partner in supporting the acceleration of infrastructure development and maintenance.
