SIG Ensures Cement Supply Availability in Aceh, Boosts Production and Optimises Distribution Network
PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is boosting cement production and distribution capacity to accelerate supply recovery in Aceh. This is being carried out alongside strengthened synergy across SIG’s entire operational and distribution network to ensure the public and construction stakeholders receive supply certainty.
Corporate Secretary of SIG, Vita Mahreyni, said cement demand in several areas of Aceh has increased in recent times, impacting the accelerated absorption of stock at several distribution points. Responding to this condition, SIG continues to adjust supply so that public needs are met through synergy across the company’s operational network.
“SIG is maximising the production capacity of PT Solusi Bangun Andalas in Lhoknga and Lhokseumawe as well as the PT Semen Padang packing plant in Malahayati. As a form of synergy within the SIG Group, PT Semen Padang is also sending additional cement supply to support stock availability in Aceh,” said Vita, quoted from her statement on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
She explained that SIG is also strengthening coordination with distributors and logistics partners to maintain orderly and efficient distribution. The company conducts regular monitoring of stock availability and distribution activities, as well as daily evaluations as a basis for decision-making.
In addition, SIG continues to coordinate with regional governments, distributor networks, and other stakeholders to maintain orderly and efficient distribution. The company urges all distribution partners to prioritise healthy and responsible distribution practices so that products can be received by consumers evenly.
“As a cement producer, SIG is not only striving to close the supply shortfall due to the demand surge, but also not raising prices. We urge the distributor network to manage distribution effectively and efficiently so that retail prices in shops remain controlled and affordable for the public,” Vita Mahreyni emphasised.
The controlled cement supply distribution has been welcomed positively by SIG’s partner distributor, one of which is PT Wadah Suci. Head of Operations at PT Wadah Suci, Emy Rinaldi, explained that cement demand in Aceh has increased in line with rapid infrastructure development and post-disaster home repairs by the public. The demand surge occurred in July 2026. Emy is grateful that conditions have now gradually become controlled and stable, and cement supply is also running smoothly.
