PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) distributed 292 sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. The animals consisted of 186 cattle and 106 goats, distributed gradually from 19 May to 26 May 2026. Distribution was carried out through mosques, foundations, pesantrens, and community settlements around the company’s operational areas. SIG’s sacrificial animal distribution covered 19 provinces, including Aceh, Riau, West Sumatra, Lampung, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, and West Papua. Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni stated Eid al-Adha is an opportunity for the company to strengthen social care and sharing spirit among communities around operational areas. According to Vita, the distribution was expected not only to directly benefit the public but also strengthen the company’s relationships with stakeholders. “As a form of support for the local economy, SIG purchases sacrificial animals from SMEs in each operational area and ensures all distributed animals have passed health checks for safe consumption,” Vita stated in a press release on Wednesday (27 May 2026). She added that the company aims to ensure SIG’s presence contributes not only to development but also brings tangible benefits to communities and the surrounding environment. Village Head of Pasucen, Gunem District, Rembang Regency, Central Java, Salamun, praised the programme. He noted SIG’s social programmes have positively impacted village welfare. “Beyond Eid al-Adha, SIG has provided various programmes for our community, such as the Madani Community Forum (FMM) for village independence, SME mentoring, and operational assistance for the village,” Salamun said. “Alhamdulillah, SIG has always cared for our community; may SIG continue to benefit the wider public,” he added.
