SIG CEO confirms cement supply and distribution back to normal in Aceh
The President Director of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), Indrieffouny Indra, has confirmed that cement supply and distribution in Aceh have returned to normal through production optimisation and coordination with distributors to meet development and community needs.
"SIG has accelerated measures to address cement supply availability in Aceh by optimising production and distribution within the SIG Group network," Indrieffouny said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He made the remarks during a working visit to lead field coordination and ensure cement supply amid rising market demand, which had impacted supply limitations in several areas and caused price fluctuations in shops.
As Indonesia’s largest building materials producer, Indrieffouny emphasised the company’s commitment to maintaining cement supply continuity for communities and development in the Sumatra region.
He further stated that the company also reviewed the distribution network and held discussions with main distributors to ensure cement availability in the market.
"We are present directly in the field to ensure that every obstacle can be promptly identified and resolved," he said.
He stressed that the company’s priority is ensuring that community and development needs continue to be met through adequate cement supply and increasingly smooth distribution.
