SIEXPO 2026 to Strengthen MSMEs and Oil Palm Farmer Cooperatives

The Sawit Indonesia Expo and Conference (SIEXPO) 2026 is poised to support the strengthening of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and oil palm farmer cooperatives amidst industry challenges caused by global economic dynamics. SIEXPO 2026 Chairman Qayuum Amri stated that the event, scheduled for 6–8 August 2026 at Ska Co-Ex Pekanbaru, Riau, will involve more MSMEs, farmer cooperatives, Islamic boarding schools, and universities, in addition to stakeholders from the upstream and downstream palm oil industry. “This year, despite shocks in the palm oil industry and the global economy, the enthusiasm of industry players remains high. Not only large companies, but also MSMEs and cooperatives are participating,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday. Now in its fourth year, SIEXPO continues to be one of the palm oil industry exhibitions that consistently opens space for small business players, with around 20 booths prepared specifically for MSMEs and cooperatives this year. “Usually, exhibitions are only attended by large corporations or major manufacturers. From the outset, we have involved MSMEs, farmer cooperatives, universities, and even palm oil schools. We want to strengthen the palm oil ecosystem comprehensively,” he said. He noted that this spirit aligns with SIEXPO’s tagline: “The Small are Upgraded, the Medium are Enlarged, and the Large are Safeguarded.” Qayuum stated that by carrying the theme “Collaboration, Innovation, and Resilience of the Palm Oil Industry”, SIEXPO 2026 is expected to strengthen synergy between the government, businesses, academics, and the community in driving the development of the national palm oil industry. He added that collaboration among stakeholders will give birth to innovation, including the utilisation of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to increase productivity in the plantation and palm oil processing sectors.
