Siemens wins RI order
MUNICH, Germany (AFP): German group Siemens has won an order worth almost 200 million marks for supplying seven generators for the Indonesian power-plant at Grati, in eastern Java, Siemens announced here yesterday.
The generators will be manufactured at the Siemens-KWU factory in Muelheim.
The group will also supply the transformers and high-voltage distribution unit (150 kV) for the Indonesian plant, as well as other electrical equipment.
Siemens said that Japanese group Mitsubishi would supply the gas and steam turbines for the 880-MW plant, to gradually go into operation between the end of next year and the end of 1996.
