Sidrap Regent personally greets Hajj pilgrims upon arrival in Indonesia

The Regent of Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap), South Sulawesi, Syaharuddin Alrif, personally met Hajj pilgrims from the region upon their arrival in the country, following the landing of their aircraft at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Makassar, on Tuesday at 07:00 WITA. The Secretary of the Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for the Makassar Debarkation, Asa Afif Bahri, received the pilgrims from Flight Group (Kloter) 2 at the Sudiang Hajj Dormitory in Makassar and formally handed them over to Regent Syaharuddin Alrif. He noted that only a few hours after the arrival of Flight Group 1, Flight Group 2 arrived safely in the country. He expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in the process, both during embarkation and debarkation, ensuring that the pilgrims could perform their religious duties with devotion. During the return of the pilgrims, many elderly pilgrims remained relatively fit upon their return, including the oldest pilgrim in the group, Imelleng Laparung Lakaso, who is 85 years old.
