Sidoarjo Regency Government Accelerates Concreting of 8 Road Sections, Targets Completion This Year
The Sidoarjo Regency Government, led by Regent Subandi and Deputy Regent Mimik Idayana, continues to accelerate road infrastructure development, including concreting works on a number of sections. Eight road sections have been designated as priorities and are targeted for completion this year.
Head of the Sidoarjo Public Works, Highways and Water Resources Agency (DPUBMSDA) Makhmud said that progress on the concreting works across the eight sections is ongoing.
“We hope all concreting works on the eight sections will be completed this year, with no overruns,” Makhmud told detikcom on Monday (31/8/2026).
According to him, nearly all works are currently in progress. With the acceleration being carried out, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is optimistic that the completion target can be achieved.
“There are no obstacles, almost everything is on progress, so we hope that by mid-December everything will be cleared,” he said.
In addition to accelerating the works, supervision is also a focus for the Sidoarjo Regency Government. During an inspection of the Krian-Kemangsen road section, Regent Subandi previously asked supervisory consultants to conduct routine monitoring and update work progress through the E-Kenda system.
According to Subandi, optimal supervision is important to ensure every stage of development proceeds according to target. If deviations are found, the regional government will take immediate action.
“If there are deviations, of course we will issue a warning. What the normal figure is, we must convey. That is why the key lies with the supervisory consultant,” he said.
Supervision is also expected to involve sub-district heads and village governments. Through this collaboration, the Sidoarjo Regency Government wants to ensure that infrastructure development runs smoothly, on time, and provides broad benefits to the community.
“I ask my colleagues, especially for supervision, particularly the sub-district heads, to also participate in monitoring. Also from the villages, so that this activity is truly realised on time,” he stressed.
The eight sections included in the concreting programme in Sidoarjo are:
