Sidoarjo Regency Boosts MyRetribusi to Prevent Payment Leakage
Under the leadership of Regent Subandi and Deputy Regent Mimik Idayana, the Sidoarjo Regency Government continues to strengthen the digitalisation of regional levies. The utilisation of non-cash systems through MyRetribusi has recorded an annual increase, thereby enhancing transaction transparency and suppressing potential payment leakages.
The Head of the Sidoarjo Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD), Yudhi Irianto, stated that his agency, in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag), is continuously optimising the use of MyRetribusi in Sidoarjo’s markets. Moving forward, the use of this digital payment system is targeted to become increasingly widespread.
“We will work alongside Disperindag to continue monitoring the use of MyRetribusi so that digitalisation can be implemented extensively across all markets in Sidoarjo,” said Yudhi on Friday (11/09/2026).
According to him, the digitalisation of levy payments has a positive impact on the supervision of regional revenue. Transactions that are processed in real-time can be monitored on the same day, which helps to minimise the potential for payment leakages.
“The positive impact is the reduction of payment leakage levels, so that revenue received through real-time transactions can be monitored on the same day,” he explained.
In addition to improving supervision, Yudhi noted that the digital system also makes it easier for levy payers to make non-cash payments. Through MyRetribusi, payments can be made directly on-site.
“Secondly, we are making it easier for taxpayers so they are not confused about how to pay their levies non-cash; through MyRetributi, payments can be made directly at the location,” he added.
Yudhi stated that the use of digital payments has shown an increasing trend every year. He noted that payment via MyRetribusi is one of the Sidoarjo Regency Government’s efforts to improve public services.
“Digitalisation of payments is one of our efforts to make it easier for taxpayers to pay, to speed up transactions, and to accelerate financial reporting of revenue from the levy sector,” he revealed.
Beyond just payments, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is also conducting analyses and formulating strategies to increase regional revenue.
“We will later be able to conduct a SWOT analysis. We will identify what needs to be improved when there are obstacles, and which opportunities we must seek to find potential revenue,” he said.
Yudhi added that his agency will collaborate with regional apparatus organisations (OPD) responsible for regional levies to identify various opportunities for revenue enhancement.
He mentioned that the implementation of digital levies has received a positive response from taxpayers. This was evident following the launch of MyRetribusi at the Sidoarjo Pendopo in August 2026.
To ensure the system’s implementation on the ground, the Sidoarjo BPPD, along with relevant OPDs and Bank Jatim, is conducting direct monitoring. This assistance is provided to ensure that any emerging issues can be addressed immediately.
“This is part of our effort so that if any problems arise in the field, our hope is that they can be resolved on the same day,” Yudhi explained.
Monitoring is being conducted in rotation, given the large number of markets in Sidoarjo. The BPPD is also partnering with Disperindag officers in the field to monitor the progress of this digitalisation implementation.
“We are working with our colleagues from Disperindag, particularly those in the field, to monitor performance progress directly for us,” he concluded.
