Sidoarjo Regency Boosts Investment, Reaching Rp 3.77 Trillion in Q1 2026
According to data from the Sidoarjo Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), investment realisation in the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp 3.77 trillion, out of this year’s target of Rp 15.7 trillion. The largest contributor came from the housing, industrial, and office sectors, valued at Rp 716.12 billion. This was followed by the basic metal and non-machinery metal goods industry at Rp 675.22 billion, the food industry at Rp 637.13 billion, the rubber and plastic industry at Rp 416.73 billion, and the paper and printing industry at Rp 396.46 billion.
The Head of DPMPTSP Sidoarjo, Ridho Prasetyo, stated that this achievement was driven by a proactive ‘jemput bola’ (outreach) strategy towards business actors. “We are conducting outreach to business actors to provide assistance in investment reporting to ensure that the data is valid and the reporting is accurate. Consequently, our investment realisation records are all valid,” Ridho said on Tuesday (2/6/2026).
This assistance is carried out intensively during each quarterly reporting period. Furthermore, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is actively facilitating various obstacles faced by investors, ranging from licensing issues to coordination with technical departments. “We facilitate business actors if they encounter obstacles. We do not stop if a business actor’s permit is hindered or if they need coordination with technical departments during the licensing process; we facilitate that,” he added.
Ridho explained that support for investment also receives direct attention from the Regent of Sidoarjo, Subandi. Routine monitoring is conducted to ensure that field obstacles can be resolved promptly. “We monitor the conditions and the obstacles faced by business actors, and whether the assistance has been carried out to completion. This is done routinely,” he explained.
Additionally, DPMPTSP coordinates with relevant regional agencies, such as the Department of P2CKTR and the National Land Agency (BPN), to map business actors who already possess permits, including facilitating coordination regarding various licensing issues. A collaborative approach is also applied to micro-businesses at the sub-district and village levels. The Regency Government provides integrated outreach services covering licensing assistance, PIRT (Home Industry Food Production) permits, Halal certification, trademarks, and access to banking.
“So, when there is a micro-business in need, we conduct socialisation or outreach services at the sub-district level. It is provided as a complete package there,” Ridho clarified.
At the regional level, the Sidoarjo Regency Government continues to coordinate with the East Java Provincial Government and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to ensure that investment reporting and supervision are synchronised. This collaboration is vital, as Sidoarjo serves as one of the industrial regions supporting investment realisation in East Java, alongside Gresik and Pasuruan. Through consistent assistance, ease of service, and direct support from Regent Subandi, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is optimistic that the 2026 investment target of Rp 15.7 trillion can be achieved.
