The 1447 Hijri Ramadan Safari activities at the Sidoarjo Regency administration were filled with assistance provided to orphaned children. One thousand orphaned children cared for by dozens of orphanages across Sidoarjo Regency were invited to participate.

The social activity represented a synergy of the Sidoarjo Regency administration through the Baznas Sidoarjo programme in collaboration with East Java Baznas and the Siantar Top Care Foundation. The assistance to the one thousand orphaned children was accompanied by a joint breaking-of-fast ceremony at the Delta Wibawa Auditorium on Sunday, 15 March.

The assistance was formally presented by Sidoarjo Regent H. Subandi together with First Vice-Chair of East Java Baznas KH. Masnuh and Chair of Baznas Sidoarjo M. Chasbil Aziz Salju Sodar, as well as Chair of the Siantar Top Care Foundation Niluh Kusuma Dewi. The Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for Sidoarjo H. Mufi Imron Rosyadi was also present.

Sidoarjo Regent H. Subandi stated that the government bears responsibility towards orphaned children. Their welfare is one of the responsibilities that must be fulfilled. According to him, children like these also represent future national assets. Therefore, attention to them remains a commitment of the Sidoarjo Regency administration that will be continuously maintained.

“The Sidoarjo Regency Government will continue to provide support for orphaned children through collaborative efforts with Baznas Sidoarjo and PT Siantar Top,” said Subandi on Monday, 16 March 2026.

He conveyed that all parties must care about the existence of orphaned children in their surroundings. With collective concern, he is confident that their living and educational needs will be fulfilled. The Sidoarjo Regency administration demonstrates its attention to the education of orphaned children through scholarship programmes.

“God willing, the regional government will continue to provide scholarships to orphaned children in Sidoarjo Regency,” he said.

On this occasion, Regent H. Subandi urged the orphanage administrators to always pay attention to the children under their care. Disciplined parenting practices must truly be implemented. This is important for shaping the character of children who are more independent and responsible.

“I entrust the children to you, ma’am. When it is time for Islamic study, they must be instructed to study. When it is time to learn, remind the children to study. Do not let these children without parents fall behind in their education because of mobile phones,” he advised.

Chair of Baznas Sidoarjo, M. Chasbil Aziz Salju Sodar, stated that his institution has been collaborating with the Siantar Top Care Foundation for four years to provide assistance to one thousand orphaned children like this. He hopes that collaboration like this does not end with just this programme. Rather, it can expand to other programmes such as educational initiatives for orphaned children in Sidoarjo Regency.

“Our prayer is that Siantar Top Care becomes a truly successful company,” he said.

Meanwhile, First Vice-Chair of East Java Baznas, KH. Masnuh, appreciated the support of the Sidoarjo Regency administration towards Baznas Sidoarjo. He sees Baznas Sidoarjo as one of the active zakat, infaq and sedekah management institutions in East Java. According to him, this is inseparable from the support of the regional government.

“I hope that friends at Baznas Sidoarjo will remain active, active and active,” he requested.

Chair of the Siantar Top Care Foundation, Niluh Kusuma Dewi, hopes that what is being provided this time can bring happiness and benefit to orphaned children in Sidoarjo Regency. She conveyed that her support this time represents the attention of the Siantar Top Care Foundation towards them. She hopes that activities like this can also be followed by other companies.

“Our great hope is that what we are doing this afternoon will bring happiness to all the children and have a positive impact. Hopefully it can be emulated by other companies,” she hoped.
