In an effort to enhance the quality of public services while celebrating the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the Sidoarjo Police Traffic Unit has launched a 24-hour mobile driving licence (SIM) service operating nonstop for 17 days. This programme is designed to provide maximum flexibility for Sidoarjo residents in managing their driving administration.

The innovative service was officially opened on Thursday (30/7) at the Taman Pinang Indah traffic post by Sidoarjo Deputy Police Chief AKBP Mohammad Zainur Rofik, accompanied by Traffic Unit Head Kompol Yudhi Anugrah Putra. The marathon service programme is scheduled to run from 30 July to 15 August 2026.

Residents can utilise the licence renewal service according to the established locations and schedules. As a token of appreciation to the public, the Sidoarjo Police Traffic Unit is also providing various raffle coupons with attractive prizes. A grand door prize of one motorcycle is prepared for a lucky resident who uses the service.

AKBP Mohammad Zainur Rofik emphasised that this 24-hour mobile driving licence service represents the National Police’s commitment to delivering services that are easy, fast, and close to the community. This aligns with the spirit of independence and the ‘Sahabat Sidoarjo’ tagline.

‘We want to provide a more flexible service. The presence of SIMANTAP services at night provides a solution for residents who are busy working during the morning and afternoon. Our hope is that residents can manage their driving licence renewals at the most convenient time for them,’ said AKBP Mohammad Zainur Rofik.

In line with this, Traffic Unit Head Kompol Yudhi Anugrah Putra urged residents not to miss this opportunity. He reminded them of the importance of ensuring their driving licences remain valid to avoid having to go through the new licence application process. The police also invited the public to continue maintaining traffic order to realise security, safety, order, and smooth traffic flow throughout the Sidoarjo Regency.
