SIDOARJO, East Java: The head of local health office, Faisol
Ama, said here on Monday that dozens of inmates in Sidoarjo had
tested positive for the deadly HIV and AIDS.

Without mentioning the names of the inmates, Faisol said his
office would closely monitor them and coordinate with related
authorities to prevent the disease from spreading.

"So far we have put four prostitutes into quarantine," he
said, adding that inmates are susceptible to the virus due to
homosexuality and promiscuity." he added. --Antara
