Sido Muncul Distributes Rp200 Million in Aid to 1,000 Orphans in Jakarta

PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (Sido Muncul) distributed aid amounting to Rp200 million to 1,000 orphans in Jakarta. The assistance forms part of Sido Muncul’s efforts to share happiness with orphaned children. ‘Doing good for others, especially those in need, particularly during Ramadan,’ said Sido Muncul director H.C. Irwan Hidayat when distributing aid to 1,000 orphans at House of Jamu, Jakarta, on Thursday (5 March 2026).

‘Ramadan is a month of blessings, so for us this is an opportunity to do good and share happiness, particularly with orphans. Even the smallest aid will be beneficial for the recipients,’ added Irwan.

On that occasion, Irwan Hidayat also urged the children to continue sharpening their intellectual abilities and maintain their moral sense. He said this is fundamental to encourage a person’s success.

‘I can manage Sido Muncul with the intelligence and the discernment given by God. The intellect is only one rule: behave as you wish to be treated. That’s what I do when managing Sido Muncul,’ he said.

‘The intellect has surely provided two provisions to help everyone: health and a decent life. One can live healthily and decently,’ he continued.

Irwan Hidayat also urged against greed. ‘Greediness is not good for life. Overeating makes us sick. If the world is managed well, without greed, I think everyone can live,’ he noted.

Irwan Hidayat expressed optimism that if everyone holds to intellect, discernment, and avoids greed, more people will become successful.

‘The intellect is basically one formula: behave as you would want to be treated. I think if everyone did that, everyone could live decently and be happy. To be loved, one must love,’ he explained.

Finally, he hopes that during this Ramadan all Muslim communities can perform their worship peacefully until the Lebaran celebrations.

‘Hopefully, everyone can first observe fasting until its end. Second, celebrate Lebaran safely, with no disasters. It is the rainy season, after all. And I hope that even if there is a global crisis, through well-managed practices and our natural wealth, it will not have an extraordinary impact on our country,’ he said.

Irwan Hidayat also added that Ramadan 2026 philanthropy will not end there. Before Eid al-Fitr, the group will also distribute aid to 1,000 the poor in Semarang, Central Java.

‘On the 12th, at the factory, to 1,000 the destitute. Here 1,000, at the factory 1,000,’ he explained.

Representing Yayasan Al Andalusia, Nuril Anwar expressed gratitude for the support. He said the aid is not the first time Sido Muncul has provided help to Yayasan Al Andalusia. ‘We thank PT Sido Muncul for this extraordinary programme that is organised every Ramadan. This programme should be maintained and could serve as an example to other large companies with similar programmes in the holy month of Ramadan. Because this programme certainly helps workers in poverty and orphans as a real contribution,’ he said.

He noted the funds would support the foundation’s operations during Ramadan and preparations for Lebaran.

‘The money will be used for Ramadan operations, meals, sahur, and perhaps Lebaran preparations,’ Nuril Anwar said.

Similarly, Siti Zubaedah, representative of Pundi Amal Dermawan Indonesia, expressed thanks for Sido Muncul’s assistance. She said the aid would be beneficial for orphans in performing fasting and welcoming Idul Fitri 2026.
