SIC told to provide cheaper tickets

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysia's sports minister Tuesday urged
organizers of the Formula One race here to make tickets cheaper
by providing more seats for spectators.

The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) could make up for the
cheaper tickets by expanding the current 100,000 seating
capacity, Hishammuddin Hussein was quoted as saying by the
Bernama news agency.

The SIC announced on Monday that tickets for the 2002 race
would remain at the price range of between 100 and 1,600 ringgit
(US$26 and $421), the same as this year.
