Siblings Distributing Methamphetamine in Bandung, One Shot by Police for Resisting Arrest

The Narcotics Unit of the Bandung City Police (Polrestabes Bandung) successfully arrested two siblings, identified by the initials AB and ABK, for distributing methamphetamine in Bandung on Sunday (5/7/2026). One of the suspects, AB, was shot by police for resisting officers during the arrest attempt. The Head of the Narcotics Unit at Polrestabes Bandung, AKBP Agah Sonjaya, stated that officers uncovered and apprehended the two siblings distributing methamphetamine on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, specifically in the SPBE Warehouse area, Bandung, on Sunday. Both suspects are currently being held at the Polrestabes Bandung detention centre. “At that time, an arrest was made of two perpetrators involved in the illicit trafficking of methamphetamine. We have successfully secured both of them,” he said on Wednesday (8/7/2026). He added that one of the suspects, AB, was shot by police because he attempted to resist during the arrest. Agah stated that the suspect is currently undergoing medical treatment at a hospital. “The suspect AB is currently still receiving medical care at the hospital,” he disclosed.
