Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Population and Development and Family Building (Kemendukbangga/BKKBN) is equipping undergraduates and recent university graduates to face post-campus life through the Siap Impact Programme.

“Essentially, there is a perspective that must be considered by the government, specifically Kemendukbangga/BKKBN, regarding human resource investment. It is not just about being job-ready, but also about creating leverage so that they are ready for life, as this is complex. Therefore, the participants in this activity are mostly final-semester students,” said the Minister of Population/Head of BKKBN, Wihaji, at the Siap Impact Forum in Jakarta on Monday.

Wihaji hopes that through this programme, knowledge will be shared with students—whether they decide to work, start a business, or start a family after graduating—to ensure they are better prepared to become high-quality human resources.

“The hope is that there will be a forum or a form of knowledge sharing provided to these final-semester students through a structured process. From this process, we hope to produce above-average human resources, which we can then channel to places that truly need them,” he said.

“Our task is to prepare the generation and the human resources. Regarding placement and other issues, that is part of our efforts, as we collaborate with various industries according to their specific needs. Therefore, we connect with universities that possess these human resources, so their graduates can participate in the Siap Impact activities,” he added.

Kemendukbangga/BKKBN noted that 893 students have already joined the programme, each receiving training, coaching, and assessments to map their needs according to their respective skills or interests.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Family Development Strategic Policy, Population Control, and Family Planning, Ukik Kusuma Kurniawan, stated that the Siap Impact Programme covers four key areas: individual, family, social, and digital readiness. This is implemented gradually through potential identification, capacity building, providing opportunities to apply skills, and facilitating access through industrial partners.

“We need the ability to understand ourselves, learn from experience, adapt, build relationships, work, collaborate, and make decisions,” he said.

Siap Impact 2026 carries the concept “Discover Yourself, Develop Yourself, Showcase Your Impact, Connect to Opportunities,” which encourages the younger generation to recognise their potential, develop capacity through experience, demonstrate ideas and impact, and ultimately connect with real-world opportunities.
