SIA-Australia deal

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones): Singapore Airlines (SIA) Monday signed a marketing agreement with the Australian Tourist Commission to promote Australia in its Asian, European and African markets.

The agreement covers a series of consumer and trade programs to be undertaken by the two organizations, the airline said in a statement.

"The agreement includes plans to focus on markets with high potential for Australia's tourism industry such as China, India and Japan," said SIA's Senior Vice President for Marketing Hung Cheng Eng.

Singapore flies to 94 destinations in 43 countries.
