A cow belonging to a farmer from Kampung Pasirkuning, Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua, West Bandung Regency, has been chosen as the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri sacrifice for President Prabowo Subianto. The brown-coloured Simental cow, named ‘Si Mayor’, weighs 1.05 tonnes, stands approximately 160 centimetres tall, and is three years old.

The owner, 48-year-old Dede, expressed great pride and joy that his animal was selected. He noted that ‘Si Mayor’ was officially registered as a candidate for President Prabowo’s sacrifice. Following a series of selection stages and health examinations, the cow was approved. Dede confirmed that ‘Si Mayor’ met the health, weight, and height standards established by the Presidential Secretariat (Setpres). Dede has agreed to sell the cow for Rp110 million.

‘The health examination was conducted previously, covering everything from the hooves to the mouth; its health has been fully ensured,’ D’ede said. He had been raising the cow since it was two years old, providing regular vitamins and daily care to ensure its optimal growth.

According to the latest information, the cow is scheduled to be delivered two days after Eid al-Adha, intended for residents of West Bandung, though the exact location is yet to be confirmed. The cow is currently awaiting shipment.

The Head of the West Bandung Fisheries and Livestock Office, Wiwin Aprianti, revealed that there were initially three candidates from the Parongpong, Cisarua, and Gununghalu regions, but the cow from Dede’s farm in Pasirlangu was ultimately selected. Wiwin stated that the health of ‘Si Mayor’ will continue to be monitored until delivery. While the local office assists in the submission process, the final decision regarding the price and selection rests between the Presidential Secretariat and the farmer.
