Digital asset company SHOW Token officially launched a blockchain-based entertainment ecosystem in Jakarta on Friday, 26 June 2026. Through the Web3 platform, the company aims to strengthen funding for the Indonesian film industry whilst opening digital investment opportunities for the public.

The launch took place at an event titled ‘Bridging Crypto and Entertainment: Invest Beyond the Screen’. SHOW Token introduced a platform that connects creators, investors, and film enthusiasts within a single digital ecosystem based on blockchain.

CEO of SHOW Token, Akshay Melwani, stated that Indonesia has enormous potential in the creative industry but still faces challenges in expanding the distribution of works to international markets. ‘Indonesia has an extraordinary wealth of stories. The challenge is access to the global market,’ said Akshay.

According to him, the company is building a digital ecosystem that allows Indonesian creators’ works to gain wider exposure whilst opening up digital asset ownership opportunities for the global community. The company developed the platform using blockchain and Web3 technology, which is claimed to deliver a more transparent and efficient funding system and accelerate transaction processes in the entertainment industry.

SHOW Token presents five main pillars in its ecosystem: SHOW Movie, SHOW AI & Marketplace, SHOW Capital & Index, SHOW Token, and SHOW Kids. SHOW Movie carries a watch-and-earn concept, providing various forms of rewards to token holders when they enjoy film content. Meanwhile, SHOW AI & Marketplace serves as a creative production space based on artificial intelligence and a digital asset market. SHOW Kids is focused on developing animation intellectual property that highlights Indonesian culture.

Prior to entering the Indonesian market, SHOW Token had been traded on several international crypto asset exchanges, including Toobit and Bitconomy. The company stated that this step was taken to strengthen liquidity and increase investor confidence in the project being developed. Technically, SHOW Token is built on the Ethereum ERC-20 network, which supports smart contract systems. The company has set the total token supply at 100 million units as part of its strategy to maintain ecosystem stability.

In addition to building a digital platform, SHOW Token announced an investment commitment of US$100 million, which will be focused on developing the creative industry in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia. The company stated that the funds will be channelled directly into various film production projects.

This commitment began to be realised in June 2026 through SHOW Token’s involvement as Executive Producer of the horror film Cerita Lila in collaboration with MVP Pictures. The company claimed that the film managed to attract approximately 500,000 viewers in its first week of screening. SHOW Token is also involved in the production of the film Sihir Tanah Kubur, scheduled for release in July 2026. Throughout this year, the company is targeting to support the funding of more than 30 horror and drama genre films.

Several national production houses have joined the project, including MVP Pictures, A&Z Production, and a number of other local and international studios. Through a scheme called Decentralized Executive Producing, SHOW Token holders can participate in film production funding. They also gain various benefits, such as behind-the-scenes access, gala premiere invitations, cinema tickets, intellectual property-based rewards, and opportunities for revenue sharing according to the mechanisms applicable within the ecosystem.

Chief Operating Officer of SHOW Token, Joshua Khubani, said the company wants to present a new funding model that is more efficient for the creative industry. ‘Indonesia has great talent. We want to present a more efficient funding system,’ said Joshua. According to him, many creators still face obstacles in obtaining financing and distribution access for their works, so the company offers the use of blockchain technology as an alternative funding source for the film industry.

SHOW Token hopes that this ecosystem can encourage collaboration between the government, film industry players, technology communities, and investors to accelerate digital transformation in the national film sector. The company is also optimistic that the blockchain-based funding model can open new opportunities for writers, directors, animators, and production houses in Indonesia to enhance their competitiveness in the global market.
