Should Cirebon be a province?

As a layman and a resident of region III in Cirebon, I
disagree with the idea of making Cirebon a province. How can
Cirebon take on the provincial responsibilities, with four
regencies and one city under its supervision? Managing Cirebon
under its present status is already a difficult task. Do we have
the human resources to handle provincial matters? This should be
taken into account.

It would be wonderful if Cirebon's region III councillors
thought about how to revive the economy, increase locally
generated income, maintain stability, enforce the law and manage
regional autonomy based on prevailing regulations. Moreover, the
possibility of making Cirebon a province has yet to be discussed
with religious leaders, public figures and reformists in each
regency.
