Shopping with Wife and Children, Teacher in Sukoharjo Allegedly Harasses Sales Promotion Girl
A government-contracted primary school teacher (PPPK) in Kartasura, Sukoharjo, has been accused of sexually harassing a sales promotion girl (SPG) at a supermarket. The teacher has been suspended and is being investigated by the police.
The primary school teacher, identified by the initials BSN, allegedly committed the offence on Saturday, 13 June 2026, at 2.30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. The victim was checking a beverage display when the suspected perpetrator positioned himself near her.
“At first I was not aware. I was facing the booth to check stock; I am an SPG for a beverage brand there. Then someone filmed under my skirt, and the perpetrator had already left. Then a woman approached me and said, ‘There was a man in a red shirt recording under your skirt,’” the victim told journalists at the Solo Police Headquarters on Thursday, 18 June.
The victim did not dare to confront the suspect immediately because she lacked evidence. The suspect was shopping with his two daughters and his wife at the time. The victim subsequently reviewed the supermarket’s CCTV footage. The store was relatively quiet when the incident occurred.
Regarding the matter, the Head of the Sukoharjo Regency Education and Culture Department, Havid Danang Purnomo Widodo, confirmed that the perpetrator is a primary school teacher with PPPK status. The suspect has been issued a suspension sanction.
“As of today, Monday, 22 July 2026, we will release the perpetrator from teaching duties while awaiting the ongoing legal process. The decree regarding the release from duties will be issued today,” Havid said during a press conference at the Sukoharjo Education and Culture Department office on Monday, 22 June.
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Solo Police has summoned BSN, the PPPK primary school teacher from Kartasura, Sukoharjo, over the alleged sexual harassment case against an SPG at a supermarket in Solo. BSN is scheduled for questioning today.
“That is correct. Today he is scheduled to undergo examination,” said Solo Police Public Relations Head AKP Lingga Ramadhani when contacted on Tuesday, 23 June.
