Shoppers at Pasar Senen Flock to Stalls Selling Imported Second-Hand Bras and Underwear

The hub for second-hand clothing sales at Pasar Senen is growing crowded with shoppers, particularly for underwear such as bras, panties, and boxers. Buyers are flocking to second-hand underwear shops because the prices are very cheap and branded labels can already be obtained. Although traders did not specify the brands, CNBC Indonesia has learned which brands are sold second-hand at Pasar Senen. On inspection, several well-known bra brands were found, such as Victoria Secret, Valentine Secret, and Lycra. However, traders did not disclose the brands in detail, but they said the used bras for sale originate from South Korea and Japan. Traders claim that even though the goods are second-hand, the bras they sell offer advantages in quality and a variety of options. Underwear such as bras and panties from world-renowned brands are also sold at Pasar Senen, with affordable prices, at only Rp35,000 each. ‘Most of the items here are second-hand from South Korea,’ Mamang told CNBC Indonesia when interviewed on Thursday (5 March 2026). ‘If they are famous, we sell them for Rp35,000 per piece; if new, they would be above Rp100,000,’ he added. He sells used bras from well-known brands because that strategy draws customers. ‘Usually the ones with decent brands are displayed on top; if the brand is less-known, we place it at the front,’ he said.
