ShopeePay launches "Scatter" feature to facilitate digital Eid allowance transfers

Jakarta — Digital payment service provider ShopeePay has launched the “Sebar ShopeePay” programme to help the public send Eid allowances (THR) to family and relatives in a practical and secure manner as Eid approaches.

ShopeePay’s President Director, Eka Nilam Dari, stated in Jakarta on Friday that the tradition of sharing Eid allowances is an important part of the Ramadan period, and is increasingly being conducted through digital transactions.

“During Ramadan, the spirit of togetherness and sharing becomes even stronger. The tradition of sharing Eid allowances is an important part of the Eid preparations, as reflected in the increased activity of money transfers to family and friends. With the growth of digital payments, the Sebar ShopeePay feature offers a more practical, secure, and beneficial way for users to share Eid allowances whilst celebrating this moment of togetherness,” said Eka.

To use the feature, users simply enter the “Send Money” page in the ShopeePay application, select the “Sebar ShopeePay” feature, enter the amount and number of recipients, then share the link or QR code with their relatives. Recipients are required to claim the balance within a maximum of 24 hours.

As part of the Ramadan Celebration campaign, ShopeePay is offering coin bonuses of up to 100,000 by sending a minimum of Rp10,000 to at least three recipients. Additionally, a Rp10,000 balance bonus is available for new application users who have upgraded to ShopeePay Plus. Specifically during peak promotional periods on 8, 15, and 17–22 March 2026, users have the opportunity to win 1 gram of gold.

In addition to the Scatter feature, users can enjoy various other promotions to support Eid preparations, such as the interactive Goyang ShopeePay feature and Rp1 Flash Sales taking place at five different times.

Consistent with its commitment as “Free Admin Champion”, ShopeePay also provides various conveniences for its users, including:

• Free money transfers up to 120 times per month to banks, e-wallets, and virtual accounts, and unlimited free transfers between ShopeePay users.

• Free balance top-ups up to 20 times per month through virtual accounts and 5 times per month in cash at Indomaret, Alfamart, and Pos Indonesia outlets.

• Free administrative fees for paying various bills such as electricity, BPJS Health insurance, cable television, property tax, and water utility bills.

• Free cash withdrawals up to 5 times per month at Indomaret, Alfamidi, and Alfamart outlets.

ShopeePay urges the public to remain vigilant against links or promotions claiming to be from the company outside of official communication channels to avoid potential fraud.
