Shop House in Cipete Raided as Corruption Investigation Continues
The investigation into three corruption cases handled by a joint team from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police continues to progress. On Thursday evening, investigators conducted a search at a shop house located in the Cipete area of South Jakarta.
This action followed a sweep the previous day across several locations in Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bogor. During the series of searches, police seized evidence with an estimated value reaching hundreds of billions of rupiah.
The Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed the latest search activity. "It is true (there was a search)," Budi Hermanto told reporters on Thursday. However, he could not yet provide further details regarding the parties connected to the shop house or the specific evidence being sought, as the investigation at the location was still in progress.
This latest search is a continuation of operations conducted on Wednesday, during which investigators visited at least 12 points across several areas, including Cafe de’CLAN Signature, Koin Money Changer in Cipete, and a house in the Parahyangan Golf 2 area in Sentul, Bogor Regency.
