Shoes Gifted by Kuansing Police Chief Bring Joy to Primary School Students
The atmosphere at SDN 003 Kampung Tengah, located in the Kuantan Hilir District of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Riau, became lively this morning as police officers arrived with gifts of new shoes. At 9:00 AM, the Community Police Officer (Bhabinkamtibmas) for Kampung Tengah Village, Brigadier Rio Sembada, visited the school carrying 12 pairs of shoes.
The new footwear was distributed to 10 students, including Nora, Vino, Gibran, Riski, Yola, Rahma, Bembi Saputra, Ipnu, Abra, Fatra, Sila, and Parel. Although only 12 pairs were provided, the entire student body shared in the excitement.
Brigadier Rio presented the assistance to the school principal, noting that the shoes were a gift from the Kuansing Police Chief, AKBP Hiayat Perdana. According to Iptu A Razak, Head of Public Relations for the Kuansing Police, the Chief had previously visited the area as part of the ‘JALUR’ (Exploring Riau for the People) programme, where he noticed several children wearing torn shoes and subsequently instructed the Bhabinkamtibmas to provide replacements.
Furthermore, the Kuantan Hilir Police Chief, Iptu Edi Winoto, stated that this assistance reflects the National Police’s commitment to the education sector and efforts to support children’s enthusiasm for learning. He expressed hope that the donation would meet the students’ needs, ease the burden on parents, and motivate children to pursue their ambitions. He added that the police will continue to engage with the community not only through maintaining security and order but also through various social activities that provide direct benefits to the public.
The principal of SDN 003 Kampung Tengah welcomed the assistance positively, noting that the donation is highly beneficial and serves as an inspiration for the children in their school activities.
