Shocking: Three Children in Malaka, NTT, Kill Father
The perpetrators are YDA (27), ADN (18), and AN (17). YDA is the stepson, while ADN and AN are biological sons. The body of Antonius was found on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
“The perpetrators are the victim’s stepson and biological sons. They have all been secured at the Malaka Police,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the Malaka Police, Iptu Dominggus Duran, as reported by detikBali on Saturday, June 16, 2026.
Dominggus explained that the murder began when Antonius returned from Malaysia on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Upon arrival, he was involved in an argument and made inappropriate remarks towards his wife, Leonarda Belak.
Seeing this, YDA reprimanded Antonius. Unhappy with this, Antonius immediately hit YDA, leading to a physical altercation between the two. After that, they separated, and Antonius left the house.
The next day, around 1:00 AM, Antonius returned home. Upon arrival, he was involved in another argument with YDA. During the fight, YDA threw a piece of wood at Antonius, hitting him in the neck, causing him to fall.
As he fell, ADN immediately kicked Antonius, and they then continued to assault him until he fainted. They then carried Antonius’s body to the back of the house, about 500 meters away, to bury him.
“So they brought him together to the back of the house near a dry riverbed, intending to bury him there,” said the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagekeo Police.
Upon arriving at the dry riverbed, YDA saw that his stepfather was still alive. He immediately took a machete he had brought and slit Antonius’s throat twice, killing him.
After confirming that Antonius was dead, the three siblings dug a hole to bury him. The case was eventually revealed after residents searched around the area.
“At that time, they saw that their father was still alive, so the eldest son (YDA) took a machete and slit his throat twice until he died. Then they immediately buried him,” Dominggus concluded.
The Roles of the Three Children
Police revealed the individual roles of the three perpetrators. “The three perpetrators had different roles in this case,” said Dominggus.
He explained that in this case, YDA and ADN played a role in assaulting Antonius with a piece of wood, then hitting and kicking him until he fainted. In addition, YDA also played a role in slitting Antonius’s throat while being carried to be buried.
Meanwhile, AN’s role was to help his two older brothers by carrying Antonius together to be buried and then digging the grave.
“That’s why the youngest son (AN) is charged with participating because he only helped dig the grave,” said Dominggus.
Currently, YDA and ADN have been named as suspects. They are charged under Article 458 Paragraph (1) and (2) in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code, with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. AN is still in the process of investigation because police are coordinating with the Kupang Juvenile Guidance Center to provide assistance.
