Shocking Revelations from Bandung Captivity Victim: Beaten with Helmet, Slashed, and Burned
A case of alleged captivity involving a 30-year-old woman in Bandung has drawn public attention after she was found in critical condition following a disappearance of approximately three years. New facts regarding the suspected torture she endured have emerged from her family’s account. The victim, currently receiving intensive care at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung, reportedly suffered serious injuries across her entire body. Her family stated that her physical condition is extremely concerning due to the alleged prolonged abuse. One of the most shocking revelations came from the victim’s account to her father once she regained consciousness and was able to communicate in a limited manner. According to the family, she confessed to being frequently subjected to violence during her alleged captivity. Her younger brother, Syahrul, said that based on the story relayed to their father, the victim was often beaten with a helmet, attacked with sharp weapons, and burned with cigarettes. ‘From the story told to our father, she was often hit with a helmet, slashed, and there are also cigarette burn marks. All these wounds are evidence of years of torture,’ Syahrul explained. This account aligns with the victim’s physical condition, which was found covered in wounds. Syahrul explained that his sister’s right eye is severely infected, while her left eye has shrunk and no longer functions. Additionally, part of her upper lip is missing due to the injuries sustained. Her hands and feet are covered in slash and impact wounds. The family also found numerous cigarette burn marks and cuts from sharp objects across various parts of her body. The head injuries are reportedly severe, having become seriously infected with an accumulation of pus. The medical team is said to need to perform immediate surgery to address the injuries. Meanwhile, the victim’s older sibling, Afif, revealed that when she was first found, the family barely recognised her. After receiving information from RSHS Bandung that she was being treated, the family rushed to the hospital and found her in a deplorable state.
