Fresh developments have emerged in the case regarding alleged accusations of forged academic credentials involving Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo. One of the suspects, digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, has been reported as planning to meet directly with Widodo at his residence in Solo, Central Java.

The planned meeting came to light after Sianipar first submitted a request for restorative justice to the Jakarta Metro Police Investigative Division regarding the case against him.

The report was confirmed by Widodo’s adjutant, Police Commissioner Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah. He stated that the meeting was indeed planned to take place on that day. “Yes (Sianipar will meet with Widodo), that’s the plan,” Syarif told reporters on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Earlier, digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar was reported to have submitted a restorative justice request in relation to the alleged forged diploma case involving Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo.

This was confirmed by the Director of the General Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jakarta Metro Police, Police Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin. He stated that the restorative justice request letter was submitted the previous week. “Last week, he submitted the restorative justice request,” he said on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

Imanuddin added that on that day, the individual in question visited the Jakarta Metro Police headquarters with his lawyer. This was to inquire about the continuation of the restorative justice request he had submitted. Similar steps had previously been taken by two other suspects in the case: Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis.

“Rismon with his lawyer came today to inquire about the letter that was previously submitted,” he said.

In this case, the Jakarta Metro Police has divided it into two clusters. The first cluster consists of five suspects: Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah. The second cluster comprises Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, and Tifauziah Tyassuma, also known as Dr. Tifa.

The Jakarta Metro Police has also placed travel bans on Roy Suryo and the other suspects from leaving the country. Additionally, they are required to report once a week every Thursday. Investigators have also conducted special proceedings at the request of Roy Suryo and his associates. However, the legal status of the suspects remained unchanged.
