Shock as Vocational Student Found Dead with Charred Body in Bima Rice Fields
Residents were shocked by the discovery of a corpse in the rice field area on the border of Rasabou and Tambe villages, Bolo District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The male body was found in a horrific condition, with the skin appearing heavily blackened.
“It was discovered this afternoon,” said a local resident, Amiruddin (45), when confirmed on Monday (18/5/2026).
It was later revealed that the deceased was identified by the initials TGH, a student at SMKN 1 Bolo. The 15-year-old’s body was found lying in the rice fields spanning the border of Tambe and Rasabou villages.
“The victim’s body had already turned black. There were wounds on the mouth and face, and several stones near the discovery site were stained with blood,” he added.
Amiruddin noted that the discovery drew large crowds of residents from Tambe and Rasabou villages to the location. Shortly thereafter, officers from the Bolo Police Sub-district arrived. The body of TGH was subsequently evacuated to the Bima Regional General Hospital (RSUD Bima) for a forensic examination.
“The victim’s body has been identified by the family. They are devastated. The community is also shocked that the victim died in such a gruesome manner, especially given his status as a student,” said Amir_uddin.
The Chief of Bolo Police, Iptu Muh Sofyan Hidayat, confirmed the discovery of the body. He stated that the case is being handled directly by the Bima District Police.
