Sheraton promotes RI

JAKARTA (JP): U.S. International hotel chain ITT Sheraton Corporation is promoting Indonesia as a meeting and conference destination in Asia.

Company manager in Indonesia, Bruce McKenzie, said here yesterday that the Sheraton recognized Indonesia's potential as a conference venue in Asia.

"We have launched a program designed specifically for planners who book conferences or meetings at Sheraton hotels across Indonesia."

The program is called the Weekend Experience and is valid until Dec. 31 this year.

Those who book meetings at the hotels to a minimum value get a complementary three-night weekend stay for two in Asia or Australia with air travel from Garuda/Merpati Airlines.

The Sheraton has 11 hotels in Indonesia and will open two more, Sheraton Medan and Sheraton Bukit Pelangi. (icn)
