JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Shell petrol stations have begun selling fuel again after being out of stock for several months. Currently, the available fuel is limited to Shell V-Power Diesel. The Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Laode Sulaeman, stated that the availability of this fuel comes from a collaboration between Shell and PT Pertamina (Persero). The government has facilitated this collaboration. “That is a collaboration with Pertamina that we initiated and facilitated yesterday. Alhamdulillah, there is now a collaboration with Pertamina so they can start again,” Laode said at the Ministry of ESDM in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/5/2026). However, the current collaboration is still limited to diesel products. “For now (for diesel), we’ll see about other (types of fuel) later,” Laode said. Previously, Shell began selling Shell V-Power Diesel at several petrol stations since Saturday (9/5/2026). “Thank you for your patience. Shell V-Power Diesel is starting to be available again gradually at Shell petrol stations,” Shell wrote in its post. The price of Shell V-Power Diesel is currently set at Rp 30,890 per litre. Meanwhile, petrol products such as Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ are still not available at Shell petrol stations.
