Shell Petrol Stations Resume Fuel Sales, Price Hits Rp30,890 per Litre

Shell, the fuel distribution business entity, has begun selling its fuel products again after they were unavailable for some time recently. The yellow-branded petrol stations are now gradually marketing Shell V-Power Diesel at several locations. “Thank you for waiting. Shell V-Power Diesel is starting to be available again gradually at Shell petrol stations,” Shell wrote on its official Instagram account on Monday (11/5/2026). According to information on Shell’s official website, at least 33 petrol station outlets are now selling Shell V-Power Diesel in various regions, from West Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok, Bogor, Bekasi, to Bandung. The price of this diesel fuel is set at Rp30,890 per litre. However, other Shell fuel products such as Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ are still not available at the Shell petrol station network. Diesel fuel prices at private petrol stations have recently come under scrutiny for exceeding around Rp30,000 per litre. One example is the Vivo Energy network, which adjusted prices starting 1 May 2026. Based on the official Instagram post from Vivo Energy Indonesia (@spbuvivo), the Revvo 92 product is priced at Rp12,390 per litre. Meanwhile, its flagship diesel product, Diesel Primus, is priced at Rp30,890 per litre. A similar price increase has occurred at the BP petrol station network. Based on observations at one BP petrol station, the BP 92 product is sold for Rp12,390 per litre, while BP Ultimate Diesel is marketed at Rp30,890 per litre. However, on 8 May 2026, BP adjusted its fuel prices again by lowering the price of BP Ultimate Diesel to Rp29,890 per litre.
