Shell Petrol Stations Restock Diesel at Rp30,890 per Litre
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Diesel fuel is once again available at Shell petrol stations after experiencing shortages since early 2026, priced at Rp30,890 per litre.
“Thank you for your patience. Shell V-Power Diesel is starting to become available again gradually at Shell petrol stations,” Shell Indonesia’s management wrote on its official Instagram page @shell_indonesia, quoted from Jakarta on Sunday.
The price of diesel at Shell petrol stations has also surged, in line with other public fuel stations, aligning with the skyrocketing global oil prices due to the war between the United States (US)-Israel and Iran. The diesel price at Shell petrol stations, which was previously Rp14,620 per litre on 1 March 2026, has jumped to Rp30,890 per litre.
Through its official website, Shell Indonesia announced that Shell V-Power Diesel is available in several areas of Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, and Bandung.
Meanwhile, Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels remain unavailable since early 2026.
Not only Shell is experiencing fuel price changes. PT Pertamina (Persero) announced an update to fuel oil (BBM) prices for certain regions effective from 4 May, with non-subsidised diesel and Pertamax Turbo seeing increases, while Pertamax remains unchanged.
Based on Pertamina’s official website quoted from Jakarta on Monday, Pertamina has adjusted fuel oil (BBM) prices.
In the Jabodetabek area, for instance, the price of Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) fuel has increased to Rp19,900 per litre from Rp19,400 per litre in April.
Pertamina Dex Series or diesel fuel in that region has also seen an increase. The price of Dexlite (CN 51) fuel has risen to Rp26,000 per litre from Rp23,600 per litre in April 2026.
Pertamina Dex (CN 53) has also increased to Rp27,900 per litre from the previous Rp23,900 per litre.
Meanwhile, Pertamina is still holding the price of Pertamax (RON 92) at Rp12,300 per litre, as well as Pertamax Green (RON 95) at Rp12,900 per litre since March, precisely before the war between the United States (US)-Israel and Iran.
Assigned and subsidised BBM prices have also not changed, namely Pertalite at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre.
