Shell announces diesel price increase to Rp25,420 per litre

The management of Shell Indonesia has announced that the price of diesel fuel will rise from Rp21,910 per litre in August to Rp25,420 per litre, effective from 1 September 2026.

Through its official website accessed from Jakarta on Tuesday, Shell Indonesia announced that Shell V-Power Diesel is available in several regions across Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java.

Diesel prices at Shell service stations are aligned with global oil prices, which have experienced fluctuations due to the conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran.

Diesel prices, which were originally Rp14,620 per litre on 1 March 2026, surged to Rp30,890 per litre in May, before dropping to Rp24,490 per litre in June, and subsequently falling to Rp21,340 per litre on 1 July 2026.

Meanwhile, Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels have remained unavailable since the beginning of 2026.

In line with Shell, PT Pertamina (Persero) has also announced price increases for several non-subsidised fuel types, namely Dexlite, Pertamina Dex, and Pertamax Turbo.

In the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), the price of Dexlite (CN 51) is recorded to rise to Rp23,700 per litre from 1 September, up from Rp19,700 per litre. The price for Pertamina Dex (CN 53) will also increase from Rp21,150 per litre to Rp25,200 per litre starting 1 September 2026.

Furthermore, the price of Pertamax Turbo will increase from Rp18,300 per litre in August to Rp19,600 per litre starting 1 September 2026.

Meanwhile, the price of Pertamax remains at the level of Rp15,950 per litre since 1 August 2026, as does Pertamax Green, which remains at Rp16,600 per litre.

Prices for assigned and subsidised fuels remain unchanged, with Pertalite at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre.
