The management of Shell Indonesia has announced that the price of diesel fuel will rise from Rp21,340 per litre in July to Rp21,910 per litre, effective from 1 August 2026. According to its official website, Shell Indonesia stated that Shell V-Power Diesel is available across several regions, including Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java.

Diesel prices at Shell stations are aligned with global oil prices, which have experienced fluctuations due to the conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran. The price of diesel, which was originally Rp14,620 per litre on 1 March 2026, surged to Rp30,890 per litre in May, before dropping to Rp24,490 per litre in June and further decreasing to Rp21,340 per litre on 1 July 2026. Meanwhile, Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels have remained unavailable since the beginning of 2026.

In contrast to Shell, PT Pertamina (Persero) announced that the prices of its non-subsidised diesel fuels, such as Pertamina Dex and Dexlite, remain unchanged. In the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), the price of Dexlite (CN 51) remains stable at Rp19,700 per litre, and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) is also stable at Rp21,150 per litre.

However, the Pertamax series of non-subsidised fuels has seen a price reduction. The price of Pertamax decreased from Rp16,250 per litre in July 2026 to Rp15,950 per litre starting 1 August 2026. Pertamax Green also dropped from Rp17,000 per litre to Rp16,600 per litre, while Pertamax Turbo decreased from Rp19,300 per litre to Rp18,300 per litre. Prices for assigned and subsidised fuels remain unchanged, with Pertalite at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre.
