Shell announces diesel price cut to Rp24,490 per litre

Shell Indonesia announced that diesel prices have decreased from Rp30,890 per litre in May to Rp24,490 per litre effective 1 June 2026.

Shell Indonesia stated that Shell V-Power Diesel is available in several regions including Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java.

Diesel prices at Shell stations align with global oil prices, which have fluctuated due to the conflict between the United States (US), Israel, and Iran. The price of diesel at Shell stations initially stood at Rp14,620 per litre on 1 March 2026, surged to Rp30,890 per litre in May, before dropping to Rp24,490 per litre in June.

Meanwhile, Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ have been unavailable since the start of 2026.

Not only Shell has adjusted fuel prices. PT Pertamina (Persero) announced a reduction in non-subsidised diesel fuels such as Pertamina Dex and Dexlite, effective 1 June 2026.

In the Jabodetabek area, the price of Pertamina Dex Series diesel has also decreased. The price of Dexlite (CN 51) has dropped to Rp23,000 per litre from Rp26,000 in May 2026.

Pertamina Dex (CN 53) has also been reduced to Rp24,800 per litre from the previous Rp27,900 per litre.
