Shell and BP Only Lower Diesel Fuel Prices
Shell Indonesia has announced that the price of its gasoil or diesel fuel has fallen from Rp24,490 per litre in June to Rp21,340 per litre starting 1 July 2026. Shell V-Power Diesel is available in several areas of Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java. The price of gasoil at Shell petrol stations has moved in line with global oil prices, which have fluctuated due to the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. Shell’s gasoil price, which was originally Rp14,620 per litre on 1 March 2026, soared to Rp30,890 per litre in May, before falling to Rp24,490 per litre in June, and dropping again to Rp21,340 per litre from 1 July 2026. Meanwhile, Shell Super, Shell V-Power, and Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuels have not been available since the beginning of 2026, so their prices have not changed. BP petrol stations also announced a reduction in the price of gasoil, specifically BP Ultimate Diesel, from Rp25,060 per litre to Rp21,340 per litre starting 1 July 2026. The price adjustment only applies to diesel fuel. Petrol prices were observed to be stable for 1 July 2026, with BP 92 at Rp16,670 per litre and BP Ultimate at Rp17,240 per litre. Both petrol types had experienced a price increase on 10 June 2026, with BP 92 rising from Rp12,390 per litre since March 2026 to Rp16,670 per litre, and BP Ultimate increasing from Rp12,930 per litre to Rp17,240 per litre. Separately, state-owned PT Pertamina announced that the prices of its non-subsidised diesel fuels, Pertamina Dex and Dexlite, as well as its Pertamax Turbo petrol, would also decrease starting 1 July 2026.
