Sharing Warmth During Ramadan, LRT Jabodebek Prepares 3,150 takjil Packages for Passengers
As a gesture of appreciation to customers, Lintas Rel Terpadu (LRT) Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodebek) has introduced a free takjil distribution programme for users still on trains or at stations ahead of iftar. Acting Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, Bramantya Candrika, said the programme aims to enhance comfort and provide a warmer travel experience for passengers during Ramadan. ‘Ramadan is a good moment to share and strengthen togetherness. We hope the programme will benefit users and further improve travel comfort during Ramadan,’ he said in a press release received by Kompas.com on Friday (6 March 2026). The takjil distribution programme runs from 5-13 March 2026. Activities will be carried out gradually at 14 stations with high passenger flow. Here is the schedule of takjil distribution locations for LRT Jabodebek over seven days: The policy is expected to help passengers who are still on the journey to break their fast on time without having to rush to alight at a particular station. Nevertheless, LRT Jabodebek urges users to take their rubbish with them and dispose of it in bins provided at the destination station to maintain the cleanliness of facilities and the comfort of all. Through the takjil distribution programme and Ramadan breaking-fast policies, LRT Jabodebek hopes to increase travel comfort whilst strengthening the closeness between public transport services and the community.
