Sharing the Dream Scholarship 2026 Opens: Supporting Indonesia's Green Generation

SCG, a leading regional business, has reaffirmed its commitment to human resource development in Indonesia through the launch of the 14th Sharing the Dream scholarship program for 2026. With the theme ‘Green Active Generation’, this program is a strategic part of SCG’s Inclusive Green Growth vision, integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.
This initiative is taken in response to employment and education challenges in Indonesia. According to data from the International Labour Organization (ILO), the number of young people aged 15–24 in Indonesia who fall into the NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) category reaches 19.44%. This figure is higher than the ASEAN average of 16%.
Country Director of SCG Indonesia, Warit Jintanawan, stated that today’s young generation faces disruption from AI technology and fierce global competition. ‘Young people need to have adaptability, critical thinking skills, and initiative to become problem-solvers for their surrounding environment. Education that is oriented towards these goals is the key,’ he said.
This year, SCG is offering scholarships to 412 recipients, including high school students and undergraduate students. The program is also inclusive, opening opportunities for people with disabilities and children from construction worker families.
*Specifically for Bandung and Sukabumi, it applies to children of construction workers.
