Sharing Knowledge at Binus, BCA Director: Quality Education is an Absolute Prerequisite for Golden Indonesia 2045
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the quality of Indonesia’s human resources. Through the “BCA Berbagi Ilmu” (BBI) programme held at Bina Nusantara University (Binus) in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4/2026), BCA encouraged the younger generation to prepare for adaptation in an era full of challenges.
Under the theme “From Lecture Hall to Real World: Thriving in a Turbulent Era”, BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman personally delivered material to more than 560 students. He stressed that strong character and steadfast principles are key for young people to face rapidly changing global dynamics.
“BCA believes that Indonesia’s young generation can grow strong in facing global dynamics. Students must be able to move quickly, be adaptive, and effectively implement academic values when entering the workforce, while upholding integrity,” Haryanto stated in Jakarta.
According to Haryanto, quality education is an absolute prerequisite so that Indonesia’s demographic advantage is not wasted towards Golden Indonesia 2045. Through BBI, BCA’s directors take turns visiting various campuses to share practical insights into the working world.
In addition to the public lecture, BCA also launched the Genera-Z Berbakti programme. This programme is a challenge for active student groups (D3 to S1) to submit proposals for community development in villages.
Unlike typical CSR programmes, Genera-Z Berbakti provides funding as well as mentoring for students to directly implement their ideas in BCA’s Desa Bakti villages. Information on the requirements and terms of this programme can be accessed via the official page bca.id/generazberbakti.
BCA’s EVP for Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn, added that collaboration between banking and educational institutions is crucial for producing future leaders.
“We are committed to bringing positive impact to all levels of society, from individuals, communities, to the education ecosystem,” said Hera.
The BBI programme is a routine part of Bakti BCA since 2023. In 2025, the programme successfully reached more than 6,300 students at nine universities across Indonesia as support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
