Sharing a Sense of Gratitude: YAPL Distributes Aid to 1,300 Orphans Across Various Cities
YAYASAN Agung Podomoro Land (YAPL), together with PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk (APLN) and Agung Podomoro Group (APG), distributed charitable donations to 1,300 orphans in Ramadan 1447 Hijriah. The event, themed ‘Purify the Heart, Make Others Happy’, was held in conjunction with 15 Ramadan. The Chief Executive Officer of APLN, Bacelius Ruru, said the donations are an annual programme involving 26 APLN and APG business units across various regions. The distribution had already been carried out in stages by business units outside Jabodetabek from 23–26 February 2026. The culmination took place on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at the Kuningan City Ballroom in Jakarta.
“This charity is a form of gratitude for the journey the business has traversed and its economic benefits to the community. We hope this social activity continues to inspire all employees to care for and share with others,” Bacelius said in a written statement.
The breaking fast event was attended by APG and APLN management, including Noer Indradjaja (Deputy President Director of APLN), Hidayat Bakri (AVP Corporate Human Resources APLN), Christopher Hardja (Centre Director Kuningan City), and Serian Wijatno (Vice Chair of YAPL).
A number of business units that had already distributed aid in other regions included Festival Citylink and Braga Citywalk Bandung, Kota Kertabumi, Parkland Podomoro and Grand Taruma The Shop House Karawang, Kota Podomoro Tenjo, Podomoro Golf View Cimanggis, Deli Park Mall Medan, and Podomoro Park Bandung.
Meanwhile, Jabodetabek area units participating in the final event included Bukit Podomoro Jakarta, Central Park Mall, Emporium Pluit Mall, Green Bay Pluit, Baywalk Mall and Pluit City, Senayan City, Harco Glodok and Lindeteves Trade Center, Kuningan City, Plaza Kenari Mas, Blok M Square, Mangga Dua Square, PT Prima Buana Internusa, Season City, and Thamrin City.
The programme began with the recitation of verses from the Quran and a sermon themed “Becoming Great Children with Noble Morals”, delivered by KH Muhammad Edy Syafrudin. It was followed by the presentation of school supplies, cash donations, takjil and meals to the representatives of the YAPL-sponsored orphans.
Bacelius added that the social programme is expected to have a direct impact on the communities around the company’s projects. “Through these donations, we hope more blessings and benefits will be felt by the communities around Agung Podomoro projects, so the company’s contributions can be truly felt,” he said.
In addition to Ramadan donations, YAPL also distributed seven temporary housing units for flood victims in Aceh via Dompet Duafa. The programme is part of the company’s social commitments to help disaster-affected communities.
