JAKARTA – Five startups incubated by Menara Syariah, namely DynastyCapital, Orbitum, AriesTech, Asyah and Peksindo, have signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Central Finansial X (CFX) to build the Indonesian Sharia Digital Asset Ecosystem. The collaboration integrates AI-based digital asset management, real-world asset tokenisation, and sharia-principle-based crypto asset rating within a single ecosystem.

The five startups play complementary roles. DynastyCapital focuses on AI-based digital asset management. Orbitum is building tokenisation infrastructure for sharia instruments, while AriesTech develops tokenisation of real-world assets such as shares and gold.

Meanwhile, Asyah expands access to sharia financing through the digitalisation of Sharia Restricted Investment Accounts (SRIA). Peksindo provides rating and screening services for crypto assets using independent methodologies to measure their compliance with sharia principles.

Harianto Solichin, President Commissioner of Menara Syariah, said developments in AI, digital platforms, smart contracts and asset tokenisation are transforming the financial industry. For Islamic finance, he said, these developments are not merely a technological transformation but also a test of governance and trust.

“Artificial intelligence, digital platforms, smart contracts and tokenised instruments are changing the financial world very rapidly. For Islamic finance, this is not just a technological transformation, but also a test of purpose, governance and trust,” he said at Menara Syariah PIK II, Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday (5/8/2026).

Therefore, Harianto continued, technological innovation must remain grounded in maqashid syariah, transparency and good governance. The five startups have been developed to build an interconnected ecosystem, ranging from digital asset management and tokenisation to crypto asset rating based on sharia principles. He expressed hope that all these innovations will become an engine of growth for Indonesia’s digital sharia economy.

The initiative is also expected to address public doubts about sharia crypto amid growing attention to sharia-based investment governance. Muslich Ramelan, Commissioner of Peksindo, said the application of AI and blockchain, along with stronger regulation and governance, are essential parts of building public trust in sharia digital assets.

“Crypto is often interpreted as having elements of games and gambling. However, with what we are launching, we hope all of that public opinion can be dispelled,” he said.

Muslich said AI and blockchain are designed to deliver transparency, accuracy, speed and fairness, in line with the principles of the sharia economy.

“AI and blockchain technology do not teach gambling, but bring fairness, precision, accuracy and speed. That means the positive benefits are far greater,” he explained.

He added that oversight of the ecosystem will also be carried out by the authorities, including the digital asset exchange and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
