PT NexAI Digital Infrastruktur Tbk (MGLV), an AI data centre company affiliated with Patrick Walujo, plans to construct two new data centres with a total capacity of 96 MW. One of the funding sources for these two facilities will be a rights issue to be conducted in the near future.

President Director of NexAI, Ahmad Zulfikar Said, explained that the company currently operates one AI data centre in the Jababeka area with a capacity of 6 MW. The company plans to build one 36 MW capacity data centre in Jababeka and another 60 MW capacity data centre in Batang.

He explained that the high demand for AI computing power is driving demand for AI data centres worldwide, including in Indonesia.

AI computing, Zulfikar clarified, requires different infrastructure compared to conventional data centres due to higher energy intensity. This means AI data centres require a larger power supply and better temperature management capabilities.

NexAI has not yet disclosed the specific amount of funds the company has prepared for the construction of the two new data centres.

However, the President Commissioner of NexAI, Suriyanto, explained that the investment required to build 1 MW of AI data centre capacity typically ranges around US$10 million.

The company plans to use the proceeds from the rights issue of 285,732,512 new shares to finance the construction of these data centres.

Before rebranding to NexAI, MGLV was a furniture company named PT Panca Anugrah Wisesa. The name Patrick Walujo appeared among the ultimate beneficiaries of MGLV alongside Glenn Sugita and Suriyanto.

Over the past year, MGLV’s share price has surged more than 13-fold, rising from a closing price of Rp 1,155 per share (10/09/2025) to Rp 15,050 per share at the market close today, Thursday (10/09/2026).
