Share Price Surges Sharply, IDX Locks MDIA Trading
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has temporarily suspended trading (suspension) in shares of PT Intermedia Capital Tbk. (MDIA) due to a significant cumulative price increase. MDIA shares are known to have surged 89% in a week and skyrocketed 167% in the last month. This step is intended as a cooling-down measure to protect investors, particularly MDIA shareholders. “PT Bursa Efek Indonesia deems it necessary to temporarily halt trading in shares of PT Intermedia Capital Tbk. (MDIA),” stated IDX management on Thursday (23/4/2026). The suspension was implemented today, 23 April 2026, starting from Session I trading in both the regular market and cash market. The purpose of the suspension is to give market participants sufficient time to carefully consider their investment decisions in MDIA shares based on the available information. “Interested parties are urged to always pay attention to the information disclosures provided by the company,” it concluded.
