Shangri-La apt for full opening

JAKARTA (JP): Six days after resuming its services, the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta is preparing for a complete reopening, with the four restaurants still closed scheduled to resume business within the next 10 days.

Shangri-La's director of marketing Sherryn Bates said that the Bar at the Shangri-La (BATS) would be reopened on Tuesday night, followed by the reopening of its Japanese restaurant, Nadaman, on Wednesday.

"On April 2 both Margaux and the Shang Palace restaurants will again welcome patrons, complementing all facilities and services available at Shangri-La Jakarta," she said.

Bates said that the hotel had taken all measures to ensure that customer comfort and convenience was prioritized, and that for the past week the hotel had enjoyed an 18 percent occupancy rate.

"We expect business to be slow at first, but we are sure it would pick up once people know we have reopened," she said. (tnt)
