Five major brands under Shandong Heavy Industry Group (SDHI)—namely Weichai, Sinotruk, Shacman, Shantui, and Lovol—participated in the 24th Indonesia International Mining and Construction Machinery Exhibition held at the Jakarta Convention Centre from 9–12 September 202 and showcased an integrated intelligent operational range covering pushing, excavating, loading, transporting, compacting, and power generation.

The five brands also presented a complete range of mining construction equipment and intelligent mining solutions.

Zhang Gengsheng, Party Committee Member and Vice President of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, stated that green, low-carbon, intelligent, efficient, safe, and energy-saving development has become the primary direction for the transformation and development of the global mining industry. Moving forward, Shandong Heavy Industry Group will continue to prioritise customer satisfaction and mutually beneficial cooperation, while strengthening its strategy and resource investment in Southeast Asia.

“The Group will also accelerate deep localisation in the fields of research and development, manufacturing, services, finance, and other areas, while working with partners to explore more green, intelligent, and efficient mining development models to contribute to the sustainable development of the economy, environment, and society in this region,” he said, as quoted from a written statement on Friday (11/9/2026).

During the exhibition, Shandong Heavy Industry Group also held an opening ceremony, new product launches, and a signing ceremony for cooperation with several key strategic customers.

Shandong Heavy Industry Group has entered a new era of strategic cooperation with several mining companies in Indonesia across various fields, including product procurement, technical services, and localised operations. This cooperation further strengthens the relationship of trust with overseas partners and solidifies the foundation for building together, sharing benefits, and achieving mutually beneficial cooperation.

A range of equipment and comprehensive solutions for the entire operational chain, specifically customised for Indonesian mining conditions, were officially introduced to the Southeast Asian market.

Weichai Power presented a complete product range including fuel-based power systems, power batteries, as well as energy storage and charging solutions. This range covers various power supply and energy support needs in mining areas, while providing comprehensive technical support for the electrification transformation of mining equipment.

Meanwhile, Sinotruk presented a complete range of mining transport equipment with various propulsion system options tailored for different transport scenarios in mining areas, while considering operational readiness and cost efficiency.

Shacman’s heavy-duty mining trucks were also featured at the exhibition. With a reinforced frame and a specialised mining chassis, these vehicles are designed to handle complex mining conditions, including terrains with frequent inclines and descents, as well as operations requiring high-frequency stop-and-go cycles.

Furthermore, Shantui presented a complete range of mining engineering equipment covering the entire operational process, from overburden removal, high-speed excavation and loading, material transport and disposal, road repair, to compaction.

This equipment has also undergone specific adjustments for Indonesia’s biofuel characteristics and high-temperature, dusty working conditions, thereby enhancing operational stability and adaptability to working environments.

Meanwhile, Lovol showcased integrated mining construction solutions that combine three main advantages: low carbon and energy saving, high-efficiency heavy-load operations, and local adaptation. These advantages further strengthen Lovol’s operational capabilities in large-scale open-pit mining and meet high-capacity production needs in mining areas.

After years of developing its presence in the Southeast Asian market, Shandong Heavy Industry Group has built a marketing and service network, as well as a spare parts support system covering the whole of Indonesia.

Zhang emphasised that moving forward, Shandong Heavy Industry Group will continue to pursue its global development direction by strengthening its presence in key Southeast Asian markets, expanding its regional business network, and deepening localised operations and services. Shandong Heavy Industry Group will also drive the transformation from mere product exports towards industrial development that is more deeply rooted in the local market.

“By leveraging the technological capabilities built throughout the industrial chain, Shandong Heavy Industry Group will continue to adapt to the development needs of the local mining industry, accelerate the implementation of green and intelligent equipment, and work with partners to explore more efficient, cleaner, and more sustainable mining development models,” he said.

“Together with our partners, the Group will build a green mining ecosystem based on long-term mutual benefits and shared value creation,” Zhang added.
