SGS audits Yogya hotel

YOGYAKARTA: For the departments of the Santika Yogyakarta hotel
on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, the recent ISO-SGS inspection was a big
deal.

The audited departments include the engineering, housekeeping,
recreation, and business centers.

According to the hotel's training manager Eddy Sasmita, the
audits were focussed on keeping quality high.

Eddy said that the hotel had obtained the ISO 9001:2000 SGS
certificate three years ago. To obtain the same certificate,
again, however, another audit would be conducted at the hotel on
June next year.

"All these audits are done solely to ensure the guests remain
satisfied with our service," he said.

The more awards and certificates the hotel received, the
better it was for staff morale, he said. -- JP
