Sexual Violence at Pekalongan Islamic Boarding School Exposed: Female Santri Pregnant but Reluctant to Report
PEKALONGAN — Sexual violence against santriwati at Padepokan Padang Ati has drawn public attention. The case emerged after a female student became pregnant and gave birth while unmarried. Investigation revealed she was a victim of sexual abuse by the institution’s leader, Abdul Khalim Fadlun (54).
Pekalongan City Police Chief AKBP Riki Yariandi revealed his office has set up a reporting hotline for santriwati who were victims of harassment or sexual violence by Abdul Khalim Fadlun. Abdul is now a suspect.
Riki stated that there are currently six suspected victims of sexual abuse by Abdul, but he suspects more victims who are still afraid to report.
“We urge all members of the public, especially the santri of Padepokan Padang Ati, not to hesitate to report this incident. We have established a reporting hotline for victims of molestation or sexual violence committed by the perpetrator,” Riki said on Friday (29 May 2026).
According to him, additional reports from other suspected victims would assist investigators in building the case against Abdul. Riki revealed one santriwati was allegedly molested by Abdul, resulting in pregnancy and childbirth, despite being unmarried and not having a husband.
“The alleged victim who became pregnant remains reluctant to report, but we are still persuading her family and other santri. The pregnant and birthing santri no longer resides at the institution,” Riki said.
