DEPOK — A case of alleged sexual harassment involving a woman identified as RA and a lecturer from Pamulang University (Unpam) on the KRL Commuter Line has been resolved amicably.

The Head of Public Relations for Metro Depok Police, AKP Made Budi, explained that the incident occurred when the complainant and alleged perpetrator were on a KRL heading towards Bogor Station on the evening of Saturday, 14 March 2026.

The alleged harassment was reported as the train approached Universitas Indonesia Station. Subsequently, both the complainant and alleged perpetrator were taken to Metro Depok Police headquarters.

The incident began when the complainant and a lecturer identified as FHS were in the same train carriage. The complainant felt contact on a sensitive part of her body and confirmed the alleged behaviour occurred repeatedly. Her companion then pushed FHS out of the train to be handed over to security personnel.

Muhyiddin Fanda, the Public Relations Officer for Unpam, previously stated that the university had investigated the circulating information. “Based on preliminary clarifications received, no evidence was found to support the allegations circulating on social media,” Fanda said.

The incident had previously gone viral on social media, particularly on the Instagram account @jabodetabek24info, which claimed the alleged harassment took place on the train between Universitas Pancasila Station and Universitas Indonesia Station. In the post, the alleged perpetrator was identified as a lecturer at a campus in Tangerang Selatan.
